We are busily planning for the 2026 Holiday Exhibition and are looking for volunteers!

Spring Artist Demonstrations at Hatch Street Open Studios:
We are seeking SCA members to demonstrate their art and process during the Hatch Street Studios, Open Studio Event Saturday, May 9th 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Artists wishing to volunteer their time during the event will be given a two-hour time slot to demonstrate their process. Participating artists will be responsible for bringing all required materials for the demonstration, set up and clean up. SCA will provide table space to set up the demonstration. We ask artists to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time to set up their work space.
Please note: This is not a sales event for our demonstrators. Demonstrating artists are welcome to bring postcards or their own promotional materials to share with the audience. If you wish to sell your work, vendor space can be rented directly from Hatch Street Studios for $100. For more information, please visit https://www.hatchstreetstudios.com/
2026 Members’ Invitational Exhibition:
We will be seeking volunteers to help our spring exhibition. Please check here to find volunteer opportunities.
Help with the Open Studio Tour!
We are looking for members to assist in planning and promoting events surrounding the 24th annual Open Studio Tour.
Volunteers are needed for the following:
Help to plan the Tour Kickoff Party in June
Be part of the Tour Brochure Distribution Committee
Be part of the Tour Press Team
Volunteering is an excellent way to learn about the South Coast Artists community from the inside out and connect with other practicing artists and enthusiasts. Get involved in behind-the-scene preparation for Open Studio Tours in some of the following areas: Operations, Fundraising, Public Relations, Web Content Management, Short Administrative Tasks, and Miscellaneous Manual Labor/Light Construction.
SCA is looking for volunteers in the following areas:
• Host a Member Meeting
• Community Outreach
• Membership
• Tour Registration
• Treasury
• Education Outreach
• Distribution of Brochures, Postcards + Flyers
• Driving + Delivering
• Event Planning
• Fundraising
• Operations

Attend Our Monthly Meetings
Our meetings are held monthly and are open to South Coast Artists members. We welcome participation from the membership. Dates and locations are announced to the membership via email and are also posted on the Member Calendar.
