SCA offers a variety of opportunities for the public to experience the artworks of our artists. Each spring we present a month-long gallery exhibition, each summer we present two Open Studio Tour weekends, and each winter we present a holiday exhibition. We also offer a variety of changing arts and cultural experiences throughout the year.

Hours: Weds. – Fri.: 11:00 — 4:00 p.m.
Sat. – Sun: 12:00 — 3:00 p.m.
Opening Reception: Saturday, April 25th, 5:00 — 8:00 p.m.

All works will be on view and available for purchase during the exhibition period.

The 2026 Members’ Invitational Exhibition will be at Gallery X in New Bedford, MA.

South Coast Artists is celebrating its 23rd year with the Spring Members’ Invitational Exhibit at the prestigious Gallery X in New Bedford, MA.

This spring the exhibit features work from over 60 artists showing 123 original works, and the opening reception takes place at Gallery X Saturday, April 25th from 5-8 p.m. Located at 169 William St, New Bedford, MA, Gallery X is open for viewing Wednesdays – Fridays from 11-4 pm, and Saturdays – Sundays from 12-3 pm.

This diversified exhibit features the artists’ finest works in oil, acrylic, pastel, encaustic, watercolor, metal, clay, wood, mixed media, photography and collage. All of the works will be for sale and awards will be given for the top three works.

South Coast Artists, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, educates, represents, and supports artists living and working in the coastal region that includes the towns of Dartmouth and Westport, MA, and Tiverton and Little Compton, RI. Each summer, SCA sponsors free studio tours. This summer, the 23rd annual SCA Open Studio Tour takes place on the weekends of July 18-19 and August 15-16. SCA also delivers educational programs throughout the year and grants for emerging artists.

This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Dartmouth Cultural Council and the Westport Cultural Council, agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. This program is also underwritten by a grant from the Westport Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Helen E. Ellis Charitable Trust and Administered by Bank of America. This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, through an appropriation by the Rhode Island General Assembly and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
