ARTWORKS ARE INSPIRED BY NATURE, THE PSYCHE & HUMAN CONDITION.
Rose Marie Escobar
RED M Studios
Working as a multi-media artist, most of Rose’s creative works are inspired by either Nature, the Elements, people, humanity, human nature, the human condition, dreams, the psyche and/or behavioral observations. Some works add other modalities of Expressive Arts including movement and sound.
Rose’s style is sometimes Surreal depicting a montaged reality, or symbolic and metaphorical worlds, and her art is typically conceptual based.
Whether utilizing the medium of Photography, collage, sculpting or creating assemblages, most works reflect ideas that evolve from the human psyche. She incorporates into her visual expressions the gifts from Nature that inspire her.
As an installation artist Rose has created numerous large scale sculptural art works for gallery shows and public spaces in the community, both 2D and 3D. Her large scale public assemblages incorporate various mediums; typically made with found materials that are repurposed, altered, and then re-invented with many serving as interactive sculpture-like forms.
Some of her art work weaves in interactive components encouraging the viewer to become engaged and participatory.
Many community based projects have included and invited the public; not only to witness the artworks’ construction process, but to entice community participation to join in building the unique sculptural forms.
