Nadine Flowers

Nadine Flowers is a mixed-media and collage artist whose life and work are deeply intertwined with the New England coast. Her artistic expression is a testament to her deep affinity for the shore, rooted in an early passion for beachcombing and collecting. For decades, she has curated a trove of weather-worn objects — drawn to their colors, textures, and patterns shaped by time and tide.

Her creative process begins with a deep appreciation for the journey of an object. The memory of materials speaks to her — each fragment a window into another time, rediscovered and reimagined. Nadine’s work also explores the interconnectedness of humans and nature, revealing how each continuously shapes the other in subtle and profound ways.

Nadine continues to expand the boundaries of her process, allowing the shoreline itself to guide her practice as it reveals new stories
