Madison Squizzero is a trained oil painter who studied at Salve Regina University and earned a degree in Studio Art. Her art is primarily equine based and ranges in size from small to life-sized. She creates using surfaces such as canvas, Belgian linen, wood panels, and masonite. Her work is inspired by her lifelong involvement and interest in horses and the sport of equestrian. Through her work she creates an emotionally rooted portrayal of the animal’s individual beauty and personality. Her paintings create something emotionally anchored, that allows viewers to contemplate horses from a different perspective and in a contextual lens which contrasts how they are usually depicted throughout the history of traditional equine artwork.
