Kris Shaffer
Since childhood, Kris Shaffer has been drawn to art. She has her roots in Kansas where she grew up, and has spent over 45 years in the Boston area. She received her BFA from Mass Art in Painting. Finding beauty in the mundane, images we take in everyday, inspire her paintings. She works in a variety of mediums; oils, watercolors, oil pastels, graphite, charcoal. Landscapes are among her favorite subject, as well as the human figure and everyday objects. She is fascinated with light and color and how they work together to activate a flat surface.
