Iria DeValles-Vieira’s artistic journey has taken her from crayons to color by numbers, from watercolors to pen and ink, as well as charcoal, scrimshaw and burning on wood. She had an extended interruption and now is back experimenting with different mediums and textures but focusing mostly on acrylics. She takes her inspiration from the colors she sees in clothing, fabrics, flowers, and anything which catches her interest.
Presently, Iria is exploring abstract with acrylic paint, mixed media, collage, and creating gel pad prints. She is also doing abstract seascapes, landscapes, figures and learning to do pastel painting and different types of printing.
