STILL LIFE PHOTOGRAPHS.
Christine Tansey
Over the last 30 years, Christine Tansey's work has been shown in galleries in Washington, DC, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
Initially working with 35-mm and medium-format cameras, and creating silver gelatin prints, Christine was soon drawn to alternative processes involving double-exposure, hand-tinted photographs, three-dimensional creations incorporating photography, and sepia-toned and cyanotype prints.
Now she is working with digital cameras, and the editing process takes place largely in Lightroom and Photoshop. For the moment, digital work is offering a welcome flexibility to experiment with different ideas and forms of image-making.
Christine studied photography at the Parsons School of Design, Rhode Island School of Design, and Maine Photographic Workshops.
