Charles A. Eastman’s creative journey began long before he earned his BFA in Painting from Syracuse University and an Architecture Degree from The City College of New York. For decades, He has seamlessly integrated his artistic talents into both design and photography, capturing authentic moments of humanity in diverse settings, both locally and internationally. He is equally inspired by the untouched beauty of the natural environment and the unique character of spaces shaped by human hands.
Eastman’s photography is an expression of his two greatest passions: technology and art. His work is defined by a fascination with light and contrast, exploring the interplay between illusion and reality. This approach draws him to a wide range of subjects—from people and nature to architectural forms—always seeking the story behind the image and the connection between viewer and subject.
“I am a photographer who works in both black and white and color. Composition is always my starting point: my images are built from shapes, light, and shadow. Each photograph seeks to evoke a human connection—to invite the viewer to sense the story behind the image and to see themselves within it. Whether I’m photographing a bustling city or an intimate setting, I look for the moment of interest, the spark of narrative that the photograph will tell.”
