Art Strong for 20 Years

Welcome back to the South Coast of New England.
This year is extra special as we celebrate the 20th annual SCA Open Studio Tour!

South Coast Artists is proud of this milestone because it speaks to the strength of our community. Art exposure has grown exponentially here along the South Coast. We thrive because of the enthusiastic support of our talented artists and very supportive sponsors. Thousands of volunteer hours are also one of our strengths, enabling SCA to provide one of the finest art experiences in New England.

This summer, our special studio tours happen on the weekends of July 15-16 and August 19-20.  This year we’ve encouraged artists to consider our anniversary theme, Pause for a Moment and Reflect, as they prepare for your visit. There are at least 75 artists waiting to show you what they’ve created.

The tour, as always, is a free event designed for the entire family. Studio visits encourage an open dialogue between you and the artist within their personal creative space. We think that connection is the key to developing a meaningful relationship with art, the artist and the creative process. So, don’t be shy. Be curious and ask questions

Remember that every studio and gallery is a unique experience. Consider planning a route that takes full advantage of your particular interests. To sketch out your adventure, please consider the SCA mobile app – South Coast Artists. If you don’t already have it, it’s easily downloaded on your smartphone or tablet. It’s a free app that’s available through the Apple store or on Google Play. This digital feature allows you to easily navigate from place to place, from artist to artist and from town to town. As president of SCA, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit the South Coast and our artist community. Whether you are new to the area, or a veteran SCA art lover, know that lifelong friendships are created along the trail.
