Subscriber First Name, please join us tonight as we continue our 20 year anniversary celebration during our Annual Meeting. We will begin with the beloved pot-luck tradition, a review our 2023 year, election of directors, and a look ahead to the winter and 2024 activities. Ben Shattuck will deliver our feature presentation for the evening with a special talk: "Exploration in Art: Across Forms and Interests".

Ben Shattuck is the director of Cuttyhunk Island Writers' Residency and former curator of the Dedee Shattuck Gallery. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he is a recipient of the PEN America Short Story Prize and a 2019 Pushcart Prize. Shattuck's last book, Six Walks: In the Footsteps of Henry David Thoreau was a New Yorker magazine Best Book of 2022, a Wall Street Journal Best Book of Spring, a New York Times Best Book of Summer, and a New England Bestseller.

His book of short stories, titled The History of Sound, will be published by Viking in July of 2024. He lives with his wife and daughter on the coast of Massachusetts, where he owns and runs the oldest general store in America, built in 1793.

According to Article V, Section 2 of the bylaws of the organization, the board of directors hereby gives notice of the annual meeting which will take place on October 19, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Little Compton Game Club, 80 John Dyer Road, Little Compton, RI 02837.
The purpose of the meeting is the annual election of directors.
