Now Accepting Applications for the SCA $1,000 Youth Grant

Our SCA Youth Grant applications will be accepted from June 1st to December 15th, 2022. High school and college students up to age 21 can receive a $1,000 grant for their art project or exploration. This is not a scholarship to be used for tuition. It is intended to help talented young artists develop and grow, create work for their portfolio, and prepare for taking their place in the art world.

Students must live in or attend school within the towns of Little Compton or Tiverton, RI or Westport or Dartmouth, MA. Prospective applicants should email their application forms, materials and nomination forms to grants@southcoastartists.org.

Through its Youth Artist Grant awards, SCA encourages emerging talent in art by giving students financial support toward a project or goal. To learn more, contact us at grants@southcoastartists.org.

SCA’s Memorial Fund for Education was established in 2014 as part of SCA’s ongoing educational mission. The initial funding was given in memory of Poole Barker, a young exhibiting member of SCA, who came from a family of artists and creators, and was a dedicated artist in her own right. We hope that Poole’s spirit of creativity, joy and exploration will live on in these grants.

We also invite you to save the dates for the upcoming Annual Holiday Exhibition which will be held at the Dartmouth Cultural Center.

South Coast Artists, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, educates, represents, and supports artists living and working in the coastal towns of Dartmouth and Westport, MA, and Tiverton and Little Compton, RI. Each summer SCA sponsors studio tours and this year the 19th annual SCA Open Studio Tour takes place on the weekends of July 16-17 and August 20-22. SCA also delivers each year educational events and grants for emerging artists.
