It’s time to plan ahead for the 2024 Members’ Invitational Exhibit!

Planning Ahead: 2024 Members’ Invitational

We are excited to announce that this year’s Members’ Invitational Exhibit will take place at the Bristol Art Museum. This is a non-juried, non-themed members’ exhibition. Artists may submit up to three artworks, however the total wall space used by any artist cannot exceed 36” x 36”, including frames. All 2D work must be securely wired, no sawtooth hangers or clips will be accepted. Gallery wrapped canvases are acceptable, but staples must not be visible. 3D work must fit into a 36”l L x 36”w W x 96”h H space.

A limited number of pedestals are available. SCA will make every effort to hang as much as we can and will guarantee that all artists will be represented.

New this year! - An independent juror will select winning works for cash awards, including and certificates.cash awards! Our juror will be Donna Parsons, who spent 20 years as a designer at Providence Picture Frame and 10 years as curator and director of Dryden Gallery in Providence.

Find the prospectus and more details on our website. All artists must pre-register online (with images) from March 25 – April 5, 2024. There is a $10 entry fee per artist. All works will must be for sale. 90% of sale price will go to the artist and 10% to SCA.

March 21st Members’ Gathering

Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m., for the next SCA members’ gathering. Please join us at the Macomber House located at 938 Main Road Westport, MA 02790. We will begin the evening with our member-favorite potluck style dinner, followed by the program starting at 7:00 p.m.

It will be a great chance to catch up with fellow artists and to learn what’s in store for SCA in the year ahead. The highlight will be a talk by sculptor and SCA member, Cecilia DelGaudio.
