Important Ticketing Information

Wow! We knew this year’s Members’ Invitational was a great exhibition, but we didn’t know it would be this popular! Reservations for the opening reception received a few hiccups when first released, so we wanted to clarify a few key points.

The Bristol Art Museum is a nonprofit organization and does not sell art the art on the walls the way a commercial gallery does. Instead, they charge a $5 admission fee to defray operating costs. However, they have kindly offered free tickets for exhibiting artists and one guest and for members of the Bristol Art Museum.

All other SCA members and the general public will be asked to pay the $5 admission fee. Tickets are not required for entry, however, it does make the check-in process go much more smoothly for the museum if you purchase a ticket ahead of time (and bring a print out of the ticket with you).

We are honored to have such a wonderful space to exhibit our artworks and would like make this process as seamless as possible for everyone involved.

REMINDER: Our upcoming May Members’ Gathering will also be held at the Bristol Art Museum on May 16th, giving you another opportunity to view the exhibition with your fellow artists!

The SCA Members’ Invitational Exhibition is presented by Mott & Chace Realty and is sponsored by Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses. It is supported, in part, through a grant from the Dartmouth Cultural Council and Westport Cultural Council agencies, and the Mass Cultural Council. It is underwritten by a grant from Westport’s Helen E. Ellis Charitable Trust and is also made possible, in part, by a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.

South Coast Artists, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, educates, represents, and supports artists living and working in the coastal towns of Tiverton and Little Compton, RI, and Westport and Dartmouth, MA. Each summer SCA sponsors studio tours and this year the 21st annual SCA Open Studio Tour takes place on the weekends of July 20-21 and August 17-18.  SCA also provides educational events and grants for emerging artists.
