As part of our mission to deepen the region’s understanding and appreciation of arts and culture, SCA continually strives to present a wide-variety of education programs. This year, we take our mission to new heights, offering a FREE 90-minute presentation by Andrew Wyeth’s only grandchild, Victoria Wyeth. This rare and exciting peek into the art, private life, and creative process of one of America’s most beloved painters, Andrew Wyeth, will take place in the stunning Habor View Gallery high atop the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Victoria Wyeth is also the granddaughter of legendary illustrator, N.C. Wyeth, and niece of contemporary realist painter Jamie Wyeth. Her presentation will include unpublished family photographs and works from the family’s own collection. Following the presentation, Ms. Wyeth has agreed to stay for a meet and greet reception, where you will have the opportunity to meet her, ask additional questions, and take a few “selfies’ with her.
