South Coast Artists is proud of reaching this 20 year milestone because it speaks to the strength of our community of artists and art lovers. Participation in the arts has grown exponentially here along the South Coast. SCA continues to thrive because of the enthusiastic support of talented artists, generous sponsors, and dedicated volunteers. Thousands of volunteer hours enable SCA to provide one of the finest art experiences in New England. This summer, our special Open Studio Tours happen on the weekends of July 15-16 and August 19-20. This year we’ve encouraged artists to consider our anniversary theme, Pause for a Moment and Reflect, as they prepare for your visit. Some 75 artists ready to show you what they’ve created. The tour, as always, is a free event designed for the entire family. Studio visits encourage an open dialogue between you and the artist within their personal creative space. We think that connection is the key to developing a meaningful relationship with art, the artist and the creative process. So, don’t be shy. Be curious and ask questions. Remember that every studio and gallery is a unique experience. Consider planning a route that takes full advantage of your particular interests.
