• Youth Empowerment: SCA awarded $1500 through our Memorial Education Fund Youth Grant, plus Awards of Merit to emerging young artists deserving of recognition.

• Community Inspiration: Our Distinguished Speaker Series featured Cody Hartley, Director of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in New Mexico, sharing insights on one of America’s most iconic artists offered at a nominal ticket price.

• Connecting Artists and the Community: SCA’s Open Studio Tour was a huge success this year, attracting over 15,000 visits to the region and strengthening community connections.

Current Exhibition:

South Coast Artists, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, educates, represents, and supports artists living and working in the coastal towns of Dartmouth and Westport, MA, and Tiverton and Little Compton, RI. Each summer SCA sponsors studio Tours and next year the 23rd annual SCA Open Studio Tour takes place on the weekends of July 18-19 and August 15-16, 2026. Each year, SCA also presents free and low-cost educational programs and awards grants to emerging young artists.

This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Dartmouth Cultural Council and the Westport Cultural Council, agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. This program is also underwritten by a grant from the Westport Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Helen E. Ellis Charitable Trust and Administered by Bank of America. This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, through an appropriation by the Rhode Island General Assembly and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
