Message from the President

Happy New Year, Subscriber First Name! 

As we enter our third decade, I’m proud to be your new president. I’ve known since being a member of SCA, but seeing it up close now, the selfless dedication and knowledge our board and volunteers bring is impressive. Not only are they gifted artists, each person has a skill that, when put together as a group, make this whole thing work seemingly easily. If you feel like contributing your time to our community, you’ll find a sign up form for volunteering on our website.

We have a jam-packed year ahead of us so please pay attention to our calendar and key dates. You can participate as little or as much as you desire. First up is our January 18th, 7:00 pm Zoom tutorial on how to register for the open studio tour. If you’re seriously considering being on the tour this year, don’t miss this meeting. This spring brings us not only our Tour members art contest but our 6th annual open to all SCA Members’ Invitational (with a little twist to keep things fresh) at Bristol Art Museum in Bristol, RI. Information will be in future emails and on our members only page on our website. Our mostly monthly meetings fall on the third Thursday of the month with a pot luck starting at 6:30 and the meeting at 7:00. Locations to be announced.

We’re working on some great, inspirational guest speakers and events this year. If you have suggestions, please let us know. Too much happening to list it all here so pay attention to your email and check in on our website and social media posts periodically.
