Don Cadoret, a self-taught artist painting in the historic Stonebridge section of Tiverton,RI, has been telling stories in paint for over 35 years. His paintings are in many important public and
private collections, including the Clinton White House-Smithsonian and Le Musee D'Art in Montreal. They have also hung in the Cahoon Museum of American Art, the Battleship Cove Museum, and the Newport
Art Museum. The paintings are glowing with color, which is achieved through the application of paint and glazes on a Masonite foundation. There are sometimes as many as 20 layers intricately applied
to a smooth surface. Utlimately, the artist is able to achieve minute details, in a ponitilistic style, which is a hallmark of his work. Even the smallest painting can take several days to complete.
